Logitech’s G512 X: A Dream for Keyboard Customizers

Logitech just dropped its latest and greatest gaming keyboard, the G512 X, and it’s all about that sweet, sweet customization. For anyone who loves tinkering with their gear, this keyboard is a dream come true.

The G512 X comes in two sizes: 75 and 98 percent layouts. What’s cool is that it supports both mechanical and analog switches, letting you mix and match to your heart’s content. Out of the box, it sports Logitech’s MX mechanical switches, but for those crucial WASD keys, you can swap in Gateron KS-20 magnetic analog switches. Plus, with features like rapid triggers and an 8K polling rate, you’re looking at some seriously fast response times, perfect for competitive gaming.

But the real fun is in the details. The keyboard’s adjustable feet double as keycap and switch pullers, and there’s built-in storage for extra switches and rings. While you can snag one today from Logitech, wider availability kicks off on May 2. And if you’re curious about how this compares to other gaming gear, check out our articles on Valve’s Steam Controller and the price of Steam’s latest controller.

With a price tag of $180 or $200 depending on the model, it’s not the cheapest option, and sadly, there’s no wireless version. But for those who want the latest tech and endless customization, the G512 X is worth a look. Keep an eye out for reviews and user feedback as more gamers get their hands on it!
