Final Fantasy XIV fans, listen up! The beloved MMORPG is set to phase out its PlayStation 4 version by early 2028. Director Naoki Yoshida spilled the beans at the recent FFXIV Fan Fest, explaining that while the upcoming Evercold expansion will be fully supported on PS4, hardware limitations mean it’s time to start thinking about upgrading.
Yoshida assures that Patch 8.0 and even some post-launch content will still hit PS4. But as the game continues to grow, the PS4’s inability to keep up due to its aging hardware has become a real issue.
