Siri just got a bit smarter! Now, when you’re browsing in Safari or watching videos on YouTube, you can ask Siri to summarize the content—sometimes, at least. This is a pretty neat feature for those times when you’re in a rush and need the gist of a webpage or video.
In recent developer betas, Siri won’t summarize content if you just paste a URL, but it might give it a go if you’re already on the page within Safari or YouTube. It’s a bit hit or miss right now, which isn’t too surprising given it’s still in beta. Apple might be trying to find a balance between giving users quick info and making sure we’re still visiting those webpages. Curious about other Apple updates? While the feature is still being fine-tuned, it’s clear Apple is working on making Siri more helpful in everyday browsing and viewing. Keep an eye out for updates as Apple refines this feature—your browsing and video-watching experience might get a lot more convenient!
