Xbox layoffs have rocked the gaming world, but ZeniMax says it’s not game over for The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO). Despite concerns that the beloved MMO might be headed for ‘maintenance mode,’ ZeniMax insists they’re still on track to deliver exciting new content.
After some major cuts at ZeniMax Online, a studio already familiar with downsizing, fans feared the worst for TESO’s future. But according to key team members like Associate Design Director Jason Barnes, things are far from over. The studio’s size is now back to what it was during the creation of famous expansions like Summerset—a good sign for the game’s ongoing development.
Game director Nick Giacomini and executive producer Susan Kath are crafting a new roadmap to guide TESO’s future. ZOS_Kevin, the community manager, confirmed this on the forums, assuring fans that the plan is still to deliver great content. This comes as a relief for many, especially with the uncertain fate of other Xbox franchises like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
So, keep an eye out for updates on TESO’s new roadmap. The adventure isn’t over yet, and it seems ZeniMax has plans to keep the game thriving. Stay tuned!
