Legendary game developer Fumito Ueda is back with a new adventure, and it’s one you won’t want to miss! Ueda, known for iconic titles like Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, has just announced Gen Atlas, a single-player epic set to grace Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. This news dropped during the Summer Game Fest, marking the first major update since its initial reveal at The Game Awards in 2024.
Gen Atlas is being crafted by Ueda’s team at genDESIGN, featuring many familiar faces from his days at Japan Studio. This open-world, action-adventure game will be available on the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Just a heads-up, it’s an Epic Games Store exclusive, given that Epic is publishing the game. However, details like the release date are still under wraps.
The game promises a hauntingly beautiful experience, as players awaken on a mysterious, abandoned planet filled with colossal structures and remnants of a grand design.
