Instagram finally rolled out a long-awaited feature: the ability to rearrange your profile grid. This update is significant because it means you can now showcase your favorite posts in any order you like, giving you more control over how your profile looks.
Until now, Instagram posts were stuck in chronological order, with the exception of pinning three posts at the top. But as of June 8th, users on both Android and iPhone can simply long-press and drag their posts around to create the perfect grid, regardless of post age. It’s like giving your profile a makeover without deleting or reposting anything.
Instagram boss Adam Mosseri announced this update after users expressed frustration over previous changes, like moving to taller thumbnails. Though this change is a win, users are still waiting for other updates, such as a native iPad app. Meanwhile, make sure to maximize your YouTube Premium benefits if you’re on the hunt for more app features.
