While the Switch 2 celebrates this milestone, PlayStation and Xbox aren’t having the best time. PlayStation 5 sales nosedived by 58% due to recent price hikes, marking its worst May since 2000. The rising costs are a common thread here, as both consoles have seen significant price increases due to a component shortage.
This shortage, fueled by high demand from AI data centers, is unlikely to ease up soon.
