So, what happened? Discord’s safety system, usually busy keeping the platform safe, had a glitch. This bug started flagging harmless images as harmful, leading to an unexpected ban for many users. Stanislav Vishnevskiy, Discord cofounder, said that the issue’s been resolved and everyone affected has been unbanned.
Discord’s system is designed to catch harmful content, but like a hyperactive hall monitor, it got a bit carried away with its duties. Instead of just putting the accounts on hold, a glitch led to outright bans. Talk about a zero-tolerance policy! Once the Discord team reviewed and cleared the accounts, another bug kept the bans stubbornly in place until they were manually lifted.
