If you’ve ever wished your research notes could be transformed into quick, TikTok-style videos, Google’s got you covered. NotebookLM’s latest feature allows users to create 60-second vertical clips using AI, making it easier than ever to digest information.
Available now for Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers, these nifty clips use AI-generated images and narration to sum up your research. For instance, Google’s sample video humorously chronicles Australia’s failed war on emus with quirky AI art. This feature complements NotebookLM’s existing tools like AI podcasts and visual explainers. For more on streaming innovations, check out our article on YouTube Shorts’ new features.
To try it out, just hop onto NotebookLM via web or app, choose a notebook, and select “Video” from the Studio column. After picking a topic or entering your own, hit “Generate” to watch your notes come to life. Although it’s currently English-only, Google promises more language support and availability for free users soon. For other exciting updates, take a look at Instagram’s latest customization features.
Keep an eye out for when this feature becomes available for free users, and start thinking about which notes you’d love to see in video form!
