In an exciting move for fans, Nintendo has announced that its live-action The Legend of Zelda movie will hit theaters a week earlier than planned. Originally scheduled for May 7, 2027, the film will now debut on April 30, 2027. While the exact reason for the change remains a mystery, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto assures fans that the team is working hard to deliver the movie as soon as possible.

Miyamoto shared on social media, “We have decided to change the worldwide theatrical release date of the live-action film The Legend of Zelda from May 7, 2027, to April 30, 2027. It’s less than a year until release, but please wait just a little longer.” With big releases like Lego Batman and Forza Horizon 6 on the horizon, it’s a busy period for fans of gaming and films alike.

Although details about the movie’s plot and characters are still under wraps, filming in New Zealand is complete. Fans are eagerly awaiting more news, especially with the Zelda franchise’s 40th anniversary coming up. Keep an eye out for updates, especially if you’re a fan of Nintendo’s Zelda franchise.
