YouTube is making playlist curation a breeze with its new AI-powered ‘Your custom feed’ feature. This is a big deal because now you can have personalized playlists without lifting a finger.
The way it works is pretty simple. Just tap on the ‘Your custom feed’ option at the top of your homepage, and enter a prompt describing the kind of playlist you’re looking for. YouTube will then whip up a playlist that suits your interests, whether it’s ’15-minute HIIT workouts’ or ‘deep-dive tech podcasts.’ It’s like having a personal DJ who knows exactly what you like. And, just like that, you can pin this custom playlist to your homepage for easy access.
YouTube’s not alone in this AI playlist game. Earlier, Spotify introduced a similar tool for music lovers. If you’re in the U.S. and signed in on YouTube, you can start using this feature on mobile or desktop. Just remember, your YouTube search and watch history needs to be turned on for this to work.
Keep an eye out for more AI enhancements across platforms. With YouTube’s custom feeds and other AI tools, streaming is only getting smarter!
